As part of its corporate policy, ASILIA considers Safety, Health, Environment, Community Affairs, as well as Security issues to have an equal level of importance with other business objectives. We value our employees, contractors, customers and the environment in which we live and operate in. We ensure that all our projects are properly planned and executed with special consideration to the protection of lives and the environment. ASILIA is committed to protecting the Health, Safety and Welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by our business. Therefore, we ensure we comply with all applicable health and safety legislations, regulations and standards.

Senior management is committed to the effective implementation of this HSE policy.

We shall achieve this through the following initiatives:

  • Elimination of all forms of hazards and the preservation of the health and safety of our employees, sub-contractors and third parties.
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment in safe and proper condition.
  • Investigation of all Incidents/near misses to ascertain causes to eliminate them and forestall future occurrences.
  • Ensuring employees, especially new employees, have relevant information and training on health and safety through an employee induction programme
  • Ensuring employees can do their jobs, and are properly trained and schedule refresher courses when necessary
  • Ensuring that all staff are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and know what is expected of them and what they must do to discharge the responsibilities assigned to them effectively
  • Recognition of excellence in safety performance by issuing awards to deserving employees.
  • Ensuring our sub-contractors comply with the terms of this policy
  • Regularly reviewing this policy and making changes if necessary.

 

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for health and safety rests with top management. However, all employees and contractors are expected to take personal responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others, and to cooperate in the implementation of this policy.

 

Review

This policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure its continued suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.

ASILIA is committed to environmental stewardship and to integrating sound environmental management practices into its daily business operations. This policy outlines our commitment to protecting the environment, preventing pollution, and continually improving our environmental performance. It forms the foundation of our Environmental Management System (EMS), which is designed to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

 

Our Commitments

  • Protect the environment by preventing or mitigating adverse environmental impacts relevant to our context.
  • Fulfil our compliance obligations by identifying, assessing, and complying with all applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and other requirements to which we subscribe.

  • It is communicated internally to all employees and persons working under the organization’s control, to ensure their awareness of their roles and responsibilities within the EMS.
  • This policy is available to interested parties and the public upon request.
  • This policy is reviewed annually to ensure its ongoing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.

We are committed to delivering high quality products/services that consistently meet or exceed the requirements and  expectations of our customers, as well as all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

This Quality Policy is tailored to our purpose, context, and strategic direction, and serves as the foundation for our Quality Management System (QMS).

Communication and Review

This Quality Policy is maintained as documented information, communicated, understood, and applied throughout the organization. It is made available to relevant interested parties, as appropriate. This policy is reviewed annually by top management to ensure their continuing suitability and effectiveness, thereby ensuring alignment with our strategic direction.

Stop Work Policy

 

ASILIA SOLUTIONS LIMITED is committed to maintaining a safe and secure work environment, secure against any risk or exposure to personal harm, property damage or adverse effects on the environment.

Therefore, it is the duty and the right of every person employed and engaged by Asilia Solutions Limited to exercise a ‘Stop Work’ intervention whenever any employee, person(s) or company’s assets or local environment are at risk; or when there is a perceived risk to the life, health or safety of the individual within the work environment.

The Management of Asilia Solutions Limited is fully supportive of the decisions of an employee, taken in the diligent execution of this Policy. Kindly note the following:

  • STOP WORK shall be applied if any situation arises due to an unsafe action or behaviour or omission or non-action of any party involved in the operation, and if such a situation were permitted to continue, it may potentially lead to the occurrence of an incident.
  • Any personnel regardless of his/her position, has the right and duty to apply the ‘Stop Work’ Policy if in his/her opinion or judgment, such activity is deemed to be an unsafe behaviour or has the potential to cause harm.
  • There shall be no blame or fault put on any employee calling for a ‘Stop Work’ order even if, upon investigation, the ‘Stop Work’ order was deemed unnecessary.
  • Timing is a critical factor. There should not be any delay in calling for a ‘Stop Work’ order if the need arises.
  • Work that has ceased due to a ‘Stop Work’ order shall not be resumed until all safety aspects are cleared to the satisfaction of the employee who initiated the ‘Stop Work’ order or to the satisfaction of the employee whose work activities necessitated the initiation of the ‘Stop Work’ order.
